William H. Rooks, Esquire
Member | Co-Founder
Will Rooks, a seasoned litigator and business advisor, brings a powerful combination of global legal experience and deep local roots to his practice. After starting his career at a global law firm and later serving as in-house counsel, Will shifted his focus to what matters most to him—standing up for individuals and fighting for justice on their behalf.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Will’s connection to the state and the law runs generations deep. His great-grandfather was an attorney, and his family has called Atlanta home for decades. That sense of place and purpose continues to shape his approach to the law today.
Will’s journey to becoming an attorney was one of grit and determination. He put himself through college while working at Pep Boys, then went on to earn a Master’s in Public Administration before serving a United States Member of Congress. These experiences gave him a firsthand understanding of how public policy and the law intersect—and how legal systems can impact everyday lives.
Will has remained committed to service throughout his career, including his time on the Atlanta Legal Aid Society Service Council. When he’s not advocating for clients, Will loves spending time with his family exploring the outdoors—biking, hiking, and camping are regular weekend favorites. He’s also a devoted dad joke enthusiast, always ready with a pun or two (whether his audience groans or laughs is beside the point).
Consumer Protection & Financial Services Litigation
Will’s practice includes representing clients in matters involving unfair and/or deceptive business practices, protecting consumers’ rights to fair and equitable access to credit, defending against aggressive and/or unlawful debt collection tactics, protecting clients from unwanted telemarketing and automated communications, and advocating for consumers facing financial hardship. He has experience handling a full spectrum of consumer protection statutes, including:
- Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act
- Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act and Consumer Protection Act
- Electronic Funds Transfer Act
- Equal Credit Opportunity Act
- Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Fair Debt Collection Act

Landlord / Tenant Law
Will represents both landlords and tenants in a wide range of residential and commercial rental disputes. His experience includes negotiating lease terms, resolving disputes related to nonpayment of rent, property damage, security deposits, habitability issues, and enforcing or defending against eviction proceedings. Will takes a practical, solution-focused approach to landlord/tenant matters, aiming to protect his clients’ rights while working toward fair and efficient resolutions. Whether it’s drafting legally sound leases or litigating complex disputes, he is dedicated to helping clients navigate the often challenging dynamics of rental relationships.
Contract Drafting / Review
Will provides strategic and detail-oriented contract services tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals and small businesses. He drafts, reviews, and negotiates a variety of contracts—including service agreements, leases, purchase agreements, partnership contracts, and more—ensuring each document is clear, comprehensive, and legally enforceable. With a strong understanding of risk mitigation and practical business concerns, Will helps his clients avoid pitfalls, protect their interests, and establish strong contractual foundations for their personal and professional endeavors.
